Welfare

Raising the living standard and socio economic uplift of industrial community is the cornerstone of WWF policies, industrial workers and their families belong to that deprived segment of society which hardly meets its both ends. Due to lack of financial resources, workers cannot bear the expenditure of their children's education and are unable to provide the basic amenities of health and housing to their families. The disability or death of a worker brings several crises for their families which makes their lives miserable. Cognizant of the socio economic conditions of workers, WWF has been offering the following schemes aiming at the welfare of the industrial workers and their families.              

Jahez Grant

The Governing Body WWF in its 22nd meeting held on 11-08-1988 decided to allow jahez grant for the marriage of all daughters of the industrial workers, Under this scheme Rs. 100,000/- per daughter of a worker is presently being disbursed.

Death Grant

The Death Grant scheme was started in 1999, in pursuance of the decision of the Governing Body Workers’ Welfare Fund made in its 50th meeting held on 29-04-1999. Under this scheme, Rs.500,000/- is presently being disbursed to the heirs of the deceased workers.

Sewing Machines

The scheme of distribution of Sewing Machines among industrial workers was started in the year 1995, in pursuance of the decision of the Governing Body, Workers Welfare Fund made in its 34th meeting held on 17-10-1995.

Bicycles

The Governing Body, Workers Welfare Fund, in its 34th meeting held on 17-10-1995 initiated a scheme of distribution of Bicycles among industrial workers. 235173 bicycles have been distributed among workers of different industries,

Note: The scheme has been discontinued since 1997.

Tricycle

The Governing Body Workers Welfare Fund in its 46th meeting held on 19-10-1998 decided to distribute 2,000 tricycles among invalid (disabled) industrial workers

Ambulance

The Governing Body WWF in its 27th meeting held on 08-01 -1992 decided to provide ambulance to provinces.
